With the addition of a $10 variable dimmer switch (purchased separately) this ventilator works well.

This fan works great, the on/off knob is very short, so your install location will have to make this work. I had to wire in a switch to make it work. It actually moves air, but man is it loud.

This is an splendid productions It’s our second one. The firstborn lasted for SEVERAL years and eventually gave out. When I say it sucks it genuinely does. Sucks all the odors and steam from the bathroom quickly.

We lately did such a lot of kitchen rebuilding and decisive to upgrade the first Kitchen exhaust fan in our Levittown, Pa Jubilee. This Broan 509S fit the hole perfectly, was depth adjustable and had a new outside black metal enameled deflector box diverting the air out and down. The firstborn Broan supplied switch was wrong but Broan rushed out a replacement. The small round single position switch (clockwise on; counter-clockwise off) is in the lower right corner of the faceplate. I wish now that I had remotely wired it to a wall switch because its a bit hard to reach in the very corner under overhead cabinets.

The fan works as promised, the only problem I encounter is that the knob that turns the fan on and off is a small short after installation.

It is noisy, but it’s not meant to be running all the time.

I found this fan easy to install once I thought it out a small bit. The instructions were a little fuzzy. It only took 2 hours to install. If you’ve done it once, though, it will in all probability only take in regards to an hour to install your next one. It’s a little bit earsplitting too. I use it for smoke ventilation in the basement where i usually have the music up so I don’t hear it much. It does do a pretty good occupation of keeping the smoke out of the house, though. It’s better to smoke near the fan.

The fan is outstanding and the price was very reasonable. It took a long time to arrive considering the fact that we paid for express delivery,but we did get a refund of the deliverance charges from the company.

This is a Decent easy to install exaust fan, not the quietest fan on the market, but not annoyingly piercing like some cheaper models.

If you are looking for quiet, look elsewhere. this thing moves a ton of air therefore isn’t quiet. fully overkill for my small bathroom. the wall installation wasnt too hard, i had to modify the plan due to my old siding.

my only gripe is it necessitated a template for the hole. making the hole on interior wall was simple but transfering it squarly to the exterior wall they give you no way to do that accept to eyeball it is mine didnt line up perfective and i had to shave the hole but it all worked out. also the exterior hood is large and ugly, colored black.
