Pampers Extra Protection Nighttime Diapers

I’d been a truehearted Pampers consumer since my daughter was in size newborn Swaddlers and the candidate of their Dry Max technology enticed me when it was introduced. My daughter was at the age where for the length of one night diapers had become a requirement and I loved the notion that the Baby Dry line had been improved upon.

I learned, or rather she learned, very quickly that Dry Max was unfortunately not an improvement. She was wearing a size 3 at the time and begun to wake up each morning soaked from mid-chest to knees. I assumed that she necessitated a size 4 for for the duration of one night and while the leaks didn’t happen as regularly, there were still 2-4 mornings a week when she’d wake up soaked to the bone. I had bought a small package and decisive that once I had applied the last one I was going to switch brands; I ought to have done so sooner.

The basi thing that I noticed one morning was that the left seam of her Extra protection diaper had come undone. There were small gel beads all over her bedding and her, and when I got rid of her pajama bottoms and diaper I was in shock. Her stomach, bottom and thighs were covered in red welts with such a heap of areas more inflamed than others and others that had the aspect of a typical but severe diaper rash. I had never seen anything like it; she screamed when I wiped, screamed when she sat, screamed when she moved. Motrin had no effect so I made an appointment with her pediatrician for that afternoon and he too was shocked. As it turned out it wasn’t welts nor was it a rash – she had suffered caustic burns from the Dry Max beads.

I was livid and called Pampers immediately. They in turn asked for a release of her medical records for that appointment and I gave her pediatrician the okay to do so. I obtained a letter and 52 coupons for free diapers, their evident attempt to fetch me back as a buyers I haven’t purchased a single Pampers product since.

Please use this with caution. My daughter isn’t the only one who this took place to and that in and of itself is a very unsettling fact.

I am a immense believer in the helpfulness of reviews, and use them prior to making purchase decisions. I read the reviews for this product, and was fairly torn because of the diametrically opposing ratings. I decided to post a review for those of you that are as well confused.

The bursting crystal thing is real, and not the result of a diaper left on too long or an unusually full bladder. My 19 month old son sleeps through the night, from when it comes to 8 pm – 7 am. We were using another brand for overnight, but decided to attempt Pampers Extra Protection because I did not like the way the smell of urine seemed to seep into his PJs, despite not leaking. That issue is nothing compared to the mess that greeted me when we tried the Pampers. The initial morning, I was horrified by the way the Pamper was sagging. When I opened it up to adjust him, there were small crystals all over his groin and buttocks. Not a pleasant sight. I tried them two more times, coating him with ointment to protect his skin from the crystals. It took place again both nights. I do not work for a competitor, and this is not an attempt to launch a national venture versus any peculiar brand. However, as a parent, I feel that this type of failure is unacceptable, and should be shared.

I am going to attempt to upload a picture as well.

In the days before ordering these new diapers, my baby’s “Dry Max” Pampers were being pushed to the limit for the duration of the night, now and then resulting in an accident. After using the new Extra Protection Pampers I am happy to report that, after 12 hours, this Pamper retained it is own, no leaks, no accidents, while it looks it may go for a few hours more! When you open these Pampers you can see that they have added a vast piece of absorbent material on it that is not bulky, resulting in a Pamper that is still thin. It looks like one of the other normal Pampers, but with a immense absorbent capacity. I’m a believer. Hope this helps!

I quintessentially won’t write negative reviews, so take that as a measure of how unhappy I am with this merchandise

For background purposes, my 15 month old daughter does not drink to a swell extent prior to bedtime, she just have a tendancy to pee a lot in the night and is a very solid sleeper. She have a tendancy to roll onto her tummy and sleep, so she often leaks out the top of her diaper like a little boy might experience.

For months I put my daughter in the Cruisers diapers at night, a size up from the Baby Dry diapers she wore during the day. This worked until regarding a month or so ago. I bought a liner which worked wonderfully. However, I was given a box of the Extra Protection diapers to try.

The primary night she woke up around midnight, which is unnatural for her, and her diaper seemed very full to me. I was not certain it would have lasted the night.

During the second night my daughter woke up just prior to 5 am. The diaper had leaked top and bottom and then wicked up and down her pjs. My daughter was in a literal sense soaked from clavical to ankles. When I opened her pjs I realized that the diaper had as well ruptured and she was covered in the gel-like material from inside the diaper. It’s December in Chicago, so she shivered the entire time I cleaned her up. It was sad. In virtually 15 months, I have NEVER had a diaper do this, even whether or not she managed to sleep through a leak. Needless to say I without delay purchased more diaper inserts from Amazon because these just won’t cut its

My system of belief is to use what works for your child. whether or not these work for your little one, fantastic. Just note that catastrophic diaper failure is a strong possibility with this product.

These diapers work great. No more changing onesies basi thing in the morning. Only thing is if the jellies start out to come out there is a huge mess on your hands but this seldom happens. I’ve been using these on my twins since they turned 5 months. They also work great if you are going on long trips.

When our son (age 15 months) started leaking at night, we tried these diapers. I was horrified when, after the primary night, we woke up to find that the diaper had in a literal sense exploded – burst open at the seams – and the absorbent gel material was EVERYWHERE: crib, sheets, pacifier, my son’s NOSE… GROSS. We are now using a more “huggable” during one night brand without a single leak.

Had to purchase these instead of the Huggies Overnights because our local grocery store was sold out of the Huggies (now I acknowledge recognise These are absolutely AWFUL. We applied them for two nights on our 1-year-old son. The introductory night he had a few gels on him – no biggie, he had drank a lot that day and peed a lot overnight. But the 2nd time we applied them, the seam on the left leg let go, and when I opened his sleeper that morning, his entire left leg was FULL of urine-soaked gels. I had an absolute MESS. I packaged the rest of the diapers up and gave them to a friend, and bought a box of Huggies Overnights. NEVER AGAIN will I purchase these diapers.

I wish I had read reviews of these before I purchased them. My 20 month old wears a size 4. This diaper claims that it lasts up to 12 hours. Not true! The 1st night it lasted for 7 hours and the 2nd night it lasted 9 hours. The diaper did not just leak it exploded—the filling inside the diaper was all over! All over my daughter, her crib, and jammies. The diaper fell isolated at the front opening and gel beads where everywhere!

I did call Pampers to complain. They seemed very conscious of the problem and tried to offer me 2 ten dollar off coupons. To which I told them I won’t be purchasing their productions anymore. So instead they are mailing a $20 check. It still doesn’t make me completely happy since I had to change/wash sheets and give my daughter a bath at 3am!

I have been a truehearted Pampers customer since my son was born. We not long back found the need to use for the length of one night diapers so we purchased your Pampers Overnights and was exceedingly disappointed to say the least. Your during one night diapers did not provide and ounce more protection that the regular use diapers. When I checked on my son in the middle of the night he was soaked from his chest to his ankles and there were gel beads everywhere and his skin was wet with urine. He is not permitted fluids an hour before bed time so I am sure that was not the issue. I notices the your overnights and your regular diapers are the same exact diaper just a dissimilar color and is a different box. We are highly disappointed and concerned because we trust the Pampers brand name and having out son sleeping in that much is highly unacceptable and left him open to diaper rash. I hope you will improve your product but for right now it its not safe for our son to use you during one night diapers.

We had decent luck with these for quite such a heap of time, but our most recent box was horrible. Not only did they leak genuinely bad, but my daughter ended up with a chemical burn and horrible diaper rash.
