I purchased this table in hopes of being capable to sketch comfortably. While putting the table together, pieces broke at the slightest turn of a tool, all the drawers were cracked, and they wouldn’t even remain inside the keeping area. After putting the table together, the table was struggling to remain up straight, or stay in any position I needed. I’ am very disappointed with the product, and even more disappointed for how much I paid taking into account the quality was very poor.
I was excited to put this table together for my daughter, but the directions were impossibly Byzantine, such a heap of pre-drilled holes didn’t line up, and other holes were simply non-existent. Several pieces were also damaged — not the manufacturer’s fault, but still frustrating. The lift mechanism also seemed very flimsy. I returned the table (5 stars for Amazon’s return policy, btw!) and purchased a much better table from another fictitious Avoid this one at all costs.
I would like to say, I read the reviews on here through and through before making my purchase so when it came time to buy I was a little worried. This was a Christmas gift and it came down to the wire and being I couldn’t find a better deal I went for, and I’m glad I did.
I would not say it’s perfect and I did have my issues, but I’m not certain what such a great deal of of these reviewers are talking about. The instructions were very straight forward, listing all elements with numbers. All screws came in sectioned bags according to number, wish I think was in truth amazing and a HUGE helps Some of the images are a little blurry but nothing your own common sense wouldn’t see through.
I do have some complaints but they are negligible. First, the desk does come with tools(2 allen wrenches and a little small although I would strongly commend having a power drill with a screwdriver bit handy. When putting the top of the desk together, I noticed not all the holes were drilled for the screws. It was an inconvenience at most. Next, I noticed the screws the attach the top of the desk to the legs were a little too long. Again it was more of a inconvenience than anything and has not affected the tilt of the desk.
For the price you actually can’t beat it giving careful consideration to it comes with a stool too. As far as difficultness put it together I’m not sure the the problem galore of these other reviewers were facing. I put it together Christmas Eve in with regards to an hour.
If you’re look for an drafting/crafting desk for a student or someone who is just becoming in to drawing and crafting this is prefect.
