Multi Color Color Interior Underdash Lighting
The product arrived in 3 days and includes all the hardware required to complete the install. so numerous wiring will be required to connect this to your car’s 12V power source but is no big brainer. I’m going to order more after I’m done with the install.
The instructions could have been more elaborated but just for reference:
1. The Black/Red wire is +ve
2. The Black solid wire is -ve
I got fast and the lights look cool…but….You may not leave it at one color…only blue, red, and green…and it mixes….it’s a good procduct but they did not think of everything….but it’s good for the money…
are awesome! just saying haha they are outstanding they are bright and in truth easy to install! even altho i have never done any work with any allocation of any car it wasnt hard to find out. it literally took me longer to get positioned comfortably underneath the dash to hook stuff up than to actually hook up the lights. for any person who wants to hook it up using the fuses beneath the dash! it is simple.
-firstly locate the fuse box/ the fuse that is 10amps that you are going to use.
-you will need to strip the wires a little bit just sufficient to attach the wires.
-the ground wire is the wire with the black. so find a screw or bolt that goes directly into the frame of the car loosen it just enough to slip the stripped ground wire behind it and then tighten it back on the wire. (thats it for the ground wire)
- now make certain the car is off! remove the fuse from the fuse box. insert the stripped wire in the fuse box and replace the fuse on top of the wire.
now its all good to go! place the lights where you want them. use such a good deal of ties to clean up the wires among the controls and the bars and your good to go!
this is an aweinspiring kit looks very nice :] very happy with it
These LEDs are awful and work 100%. They are bright as anything and in truth give off a show. I commend these to any person requiring a cheap purchase that will give their ride a bit more. Shipping said 3-7 days, which is a lie because i ordered Monday, and it came 2 days later on Wednesday! =] most immediate shipping ever!
All in all, a great kit that is very easy to install. Provides a very nice mood lighting, but do not expect it to light up your entire car. Here are a couple improvements they could make:
1. Wires are too short. I put these lights in a 370z which has a very little interior. I mounted the controller in my consolation and the LED wires that i mounted underneath my dash barely reached. The wires have literally no slack. Also the power wires will not reach my fuse box, had to extend them by when it comes to 3 feet. whether or not i put the controller anyplace else, at least one LED bar wouldnt reach my desired locatings
2. LED wires are hard wired to conroller. They cannot be unplugged for installation. This means whatever holes that have to be drilled need to be large enough to either fit the LED bars or the contoller through.
3. Controller was poorly planned. All of the led wires come out the bottom of the controller and power wires come out the top. All must come out the back so that the controller may be mounted and still look good. whether or not you mount the controller on a dash or something, you will have wires coming out from the top and bottom of the controller, just looks sloppy. If you are buying this product, find a hidden place to mount the conroller
4. Sound mode does not follow the music that well.
All in all, great product for the money. Easy to install.
Based on other reviews I grabbed a fuse tap, a friend and a glass of scotch and got to work.
I in truth expected this to be a tragedy because I’ve never done a cosmetic mod like this before, particularly to an automati interior. But we layed it out ahead of time. Tucked wires underneath the center consolation trim. employed twist ties to tuck cable underneath the dash. I used a roll of 1cm 3M doublestick foam tape to mount the light bars so I could reposition them later if necessary, this saved me from having to drill into the interior to mount the bars.
Start to complete was maybe 90 minutes, and that was largely due to the weird fuse box on the Nissan Juke, and finding a spot under the driver’s side dash to mount.
Here are a couple technical tips:
1. If you have “low profile” fuses, like some Nissans and many Lexuses? (Lexi?) a fuse tap may be hard to applied On the Juke at least there is plenty of clearance above the fuses so you may still use a regular fuse as long as the width is correct, it will just stick out of the box. this makes the fuse tap much posing no difficulty to use.
2. At introductory I thought the sound sensible feature wasn’t working well; if you tape the control box low in the footwell like I did, you have to crank the music to party levels. More bass helps. But without it being uncomfortably loud, it did kick in and actually worked breathtakingly well.
If your carpet and interior is dark, lights placed under the seats will not reflect a lot of light very well, so make sure you aim the sticks outward and as close to the edge as possible / without looking awful.
All, in all I’m shocked at how easy this was, and how good the product works for the costly The kit seems beauteous sturdy and if you take time to install it well, it must last for a while.
Overall, very pleased with the merchandise
This is an amazing product the its highpriced I installed it in a 2001 Honda Prelude. I wanted something to light up when my doors opened. So I wired these to the door switch and now every time I open the door it lights up the color I set it at.
Pros:
-Fairly easy install if you recognise what you are doing.
-Remote controller lets you chose different colors and different strobing effects, or sound mode.
-You can angle the lights to light up actually bright or just a dim glow.
-It adds a nice touch to your interior.
Cons:
-The remote controller can at times limit you, it’s hard to find a place for it.
-The sound mode doesn’t work well, though I didn’t purchase it for that intention
I love these lights they bounce with the music or you can have them just on in a repeated patern or still Have them in my brand new dodge ram 1500 quad cab everybody thinks their stock had my friend install them looks clean and hell a bright.
Best and easiest upgrade to do on your car. Provides great lighting to the interior…easy install plus affordability is not match by others. Highly recommended….i dont recommend wiring to your battery, it cause you headaches in routing the wires from outside to inside, plus a ground could cause you problem in the future, the wires aren’t heavy obligation wires..they are not thermally tested and could deteriorate in time under the hood and coz ground in the chassis. To install i suggest buying the “road pro cigarette 12v plug with wires”…change the built in fuse on “road pro” from 2amps to 10amps.. so it does not blow the fuse, rendering your 12v plug useless( fuse is $1 at homedepot, to remove fuse just unscrew the head or tip of “road pro” and insert the new fuse). Tie the wires together, crimped..taped them..plug your 12v cig plug to ur car’s outlet and see if the lights work. Once you confirmed..install the lights using zip ties under your dash or seats..i suggest to use zip ties than screwing the lights in, i think its better than making holes in your car..there ya go take delight in your led lights.
