Bafx Brand Bluetooth Diagnostic Scantool

I bought this adapter because it seemed to have better compatibility in comparison to such a lot of of the other ones(blue & orange) on Amazon. I tested this adapter on a 2001 Lexus IS300 and and 2002 Chevy Tahoe using the Torque lite app thru a CM7 HP Touchpad. The adapter without apparent effort yet firmly fit into both of the OBD2 ports. After setting up and syncing the gimmicks together it began to display all sorts of utile info such as Engine RPM, Temperature, O2 voltages, Intake G/S, and such a heap of other statistics. I’m not certain whether or not it is a limitation of the cars ECU’s or the Torque app but so numerous data failed to display (main voltage, mpg, a few others). I never got to read/erase diagnostic codes because one car had the codes wiped out prior to checking and the other vehicle merely wasn’t throwing any codes. Overall I think its a finelooking good product, because it works, is inexpensive and it beats driving to the components store.

What may I say, this thing is awesome!

Not only did I get all my fault codes fixed with it, but after that I played around with the Torque application and managing directors the features and information you can pull from your car is gorgeous sweet.

I think my favored is the 0-60MPH timer. This thing kicks butt!

I recommend this to anyone that – a) needs to clear trouble codes b) just wants a fun toy to play with on their perform genuinely cool. I can not say it enough!

For all those marveling if this works with FORD cars I can affirm it works on mt 2011 mustang GT/CS

I’m using this with my Galaxy Nexus and the Torque app, and it’s perfect. So far i have applied it on my Honad civic, Corvette, a Crown Victoria, and a ranger pick-up, not one issue yet, and fast data rates. If a person is having an issue, i may get started with the phone/ receiver first, I have had more issues with phones not picking up/ pairing well, than devices being bad. It has opened new doors for me to geek out on…. awsome product.

ps: i have not used the included software, so i have not commented on it is

Works just as described on my Ford! I had purchased one of the other types before and was let down just like the other guy reviewing this products

At original I had trouble getting the unit to connect to Torque but after re-reading the directions sent with the item I had no problem getting the unit to connect.

You have to go into the software and tell the software which device to use to pull information from your vehicle….. with this one the device was named CBT.

Highly recommend!

Pair this up with the Torque App on android and you can without apparent effort read all your OBD II information! Using this product I was competent to see that my torque converter clutch was stuck in the off position and that my drive train is dying! Hurray! (Not really… that’s an highpriced mend repair using the torque app I was capable to connect to this by way of Bluetooth and as well see RPM, MPH, Temperature sensors, etc.

Pick this up and get the torque app and you should be competent to diagnose many cars!

I eventually was able to hook this adapter up to a car with the Check Engine light on. I was able to easily display the code and clear it on a 1999 Chevy S10. I also hooked it up to my vehicles quickly and with no hassles. I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 1996 Mazda B2300 which is in essence a ford ranger with a Mazda logo. This adapter paired with the torque pro is awesome. Don’t waste your time with the free apps Help support Torque and buy PRO! The maker of the app is reading the forum and updating the app to read more sensors and takes suggestions for smoother operation.
