Mine have averaged 2 years of life.

If you ignore the syndication hype of “80% more light” and purchase these light bulbs simply as after-market replacements for your aging OEM or stock light bulbs, they’re a finelooking good buy. The light output is more glorious more glorious regarding 20% is my best guess) and more or fewer whiter than the 2 year old stock bulbs in my BMW X3. After reading the some reviews with regards to these bulbs i bought them to replace the stock Philips bulbs from the factory in my Mercedes. I observed they were only more or fewer more glorious than a new stock Philips bulb. There is a very noticeable divergence amongst these bulbs and a stock Philips bulb with 500 hours on it even though and this could be why there are so a good deal of reviews saying there is a large difference.

Depending on how long these last, i may just stick with the usual Philips H7 bulbs as the light output is unquestionably no where near 50% more than the regular Philips bulbs. There may be a significant divergence versus old bulbs or other manufacturers, but i did not see this comparing against the same brand.

I have had these H7 headlights for just over one month. The light emitted from these is very white along with being very bright. The quality of the product seemed to be built well. I have been through a number of lights for my Saab 9-5. I have been through every level of quality light made by Sylvania including their Silverstars and Ultimate. The longest lasted me 3 months. The Phillip X-treme Power lights that I am using now, I rate as almost exceptional. I have not had any difficulties withe these and installed easily. Comparing price and value, (Sylvania’s running commonly a few dollars more), I will commend the Phillips time and again. I believe they are the best buy for the money.

I purchased the Xtreme H7 bulbs based on other reviews and I require to say many of the reviews are true. These bulbs are impressive possibly not 80% more magnificent as the package claims but they are more brilliant and the light much betterment over the last H7 bulbs I had. With the last set of H7 bulbs I had I tried my most difficult not to drive at night but I acknowledge find myself wanting to drive at night.

The bulb itself was average – not any more or fewer bright than the factory headlight bulb. The disappointment is that this bulb lasted only 7 months! The right headlight is still using the four-year old factory bulb. Unfortunately, this was a regrettable bought I’ll go with the regular bulbs from now on.

I am using these bulbs on a Chevy Captiva (korean built) and i must say that they are more splendid than the stock ones.They cast light very nicely and evenly.I don’t need to turn on my fog lamps cause these bulbs light up from very near the front to about 20ft effectively.

Good bulb and came in good package.

These bulbs are not white at all on my Chevy, they look identical in terms of the hue to the stock.

They are just much brighter..not whiter.Actually i don’t think they can even be considered white.

So don’t bother whether or not you want the new white bulb look…these will give you normal yellow looking light that is very bright.

However whether or not you want a very good alternate bulb 55watts 12 volts H7 and you don’t care for the imagination white look..this is a good buy.

I’ve been using progressed headlight bulbs in all my vehicles for at least 10 years now, and have found them to be invaluable because I live in a somewhat rural area. The only drawback with the “super white” style of bulb is longevity; they have none. I consider myself lucky to get a year out of them. Invariably, one will blow out within 12 months (it’s the same no matter who makes the bulbs too, be it Hella, Sylvania, PIAA, Phillips, etc). Because of their high price, and the fact I have 3 vehicles, it has now become cost prohibitive to carry on buying them.

This style of bulb is a bit different. While they are enhanced, they aren’t in the “super white” class. As such, they last far longer, and they’re less highpriced to boot. They don’t have the beautiful color or light output the other style of bulbs have, which is a reasonably significant drawback, but they are most surely better then stock bulbs.

I do, however, debate Phillips claim of “80% more light”. I don’t get anyplace near that — perchance 50%, and even that’s in all likelihood generous — but they do cast a stronger light that displaces further then standard bulbs. I do feel they’re worth the money.

just installed the pair. it is in truth very bright. on a toyota celica, if you look directly at your headlights briefly with these installed, it will hurt your eyes (i was standing about 20-30 feet away). had the ge platinum bulbs before and so far these are comparable, if not a bit brighter. hopefully these will last at least 2+ years.

These bulbs hold true to their claim. The beam is definitely brighter than stock bulbs. Makes a immense divergence for me as I do a lot of driving on dark country roads. The difference would in all probability be less noticeable in city driving. Just be conscious that these will not last as long as stock bulbs. The stock bulbs on my car lasted about 5 years. My last pair of Philips H7 X-treme Power bulbs lasted just over 2 years. This is my second set, and I will in all likelihood buy them again when these burn out.
