First off let me just say that this unit is a heck of a lot better than the ones in your box stores. I have a construction company so there is constantly something with a dead battery everyday. This unit works good for the first, second, and ‘sometimes’ third jump but that’s normally it is After in regards to 8 days of heavy use I might only get the unit to recharge to in regards to 70%- I may return it is My only other complaint is that when you are in a hurry and wrap the cables back up it is very easy to slice into the cable with the handles.

I have owned the Jump N Carry 660 for six months now. I have two V-8′s and have had to jump them a couple of times with batteries that were so dead, the ignition lights wouldn’t even come one. The cars both had been sitting for the length of one night for the duration of a freezing Maine winter night. The Jump N Carry started the cars on the introductory try. I bought this because of all the outstanding past reviews, exceptionally from an automati dealer. This unit is already charged up when delivered. I was waiting for the delivery of the Jumpstart to see whether or not this would work on my dead battery of 3 weeks. It worked on the 1st turn of the ignition key with no hesitation. And of course I still didn’t take my van in to replace the 10 year old battery after a few days and the van battery was dead again. So I applied the Jumpstart once again. It started up with a small hesitation the 2nd time. Instructions say to charge the battery after every use for in regards to a hour but I didn’t untill after the 2nd time. Instructions say to charge the battery over night whether or not employed more than once. So, it would be better to charge the Jumpstart after each use for an hour, rather of over night after multiple employed There is a test button to see how charged up it is. Unit must be topped-off recharged every 3 months to keep it ready when in need.

Not like so a swell deal of other jumpers out there is There are no light/radio/air pump….just battery and cigarrete lighter power outlet. The clamps and cables are strong, not flimsy equated to other reviews of other jumpers. My complaint is where to place the unit when in used The jumper cable isn’t long enough for the unit to sit on the ground. It would have been commodious if the cable was longer or it came with numerous kind of hook to hook up to the side of the van. It is heavy….about 30lbs. It is tall and fairly thin, so the unit cant be placed sitting on it is bottom someplace on the engine while connected, keep its balance, you leaving it unattendant inorder to get in the car to start it up. It would have to be laid down on its back. A small tricky for one individuals Better to have extra hands if possible. Could be placed in the trunk for emergency, in particular in the winter where cold drains older car battery. Much posing no difficulty equated to calling for a 2nd car for jumping.

This unit came with a coupon to replace the battery if need be at a cost of $75. I think I read it somewhere in Amazon from past reviews that it was cheaper like $50. It got a little more expensive. This is one of the more costly jumpers out there so go by your guts and particularly by reviews and how galore stars the product gets. I recommend this jumper for it’s strength in power, solid built, great past reviews, and it worked for me…..twice.

Per the manufacturer, all of the JNC660′s fictitious AFTER May 2010 now have an AUTO CHARGE feature that allows for you to plug the unit into charge and not have to monitor the charging process.
