Anais Cotton Muslin Swaddle Blanket
Wondering whether or not you will have to purchase the a+a line or buy aden + anais for amazon, Target, Toys’rus or little77? Well, I purchased a+a for Target and little77 and they DO NOT come close to these. These are not only bigger, but the thread quality/count is higher than the swaddle cloths developed for one of the companies. I wanted to save $10 and purchased them at Target and now that I have so many of the primary ones at home, I wish I had invested in them straight from the beginning. They in truth do become softer the more you wash them. Just like Indian Prefolds fluff up and become all nice the more you wash them, these are actually soft too!
***EDIT**** 9 Jan 2012
I just saw that now they have added fewer expensively ones for $35 among the initial sized ones listed above – beware those showing up for the primary price of $35 are littler – you may see this under the product information. They are 44 x 44 and not the regular 47 x 47. The ones with the original price of $49.95 are the boutique and much nicer ones!
I purchased one of these on clearance for my 3rd(and last) baby. I bought this 4 pack for gifts for friends and so my 2 older kids could have a blanket in the van on trips. These are the BEST blankets for swaddling when the babies are smaller I’m a pediatric nurse and in addition work on the mother/baby floor and wish we had these at the hospital. These blankets wash like a dream, don’t hold on to stains and get softer and softer the more you wash them. My kids love theirs and I will be buying more as my friends and family keep having babies!
One more thing I love in regards to these blankets, they are light weight and fold down into a very small compact size to fit in a diaper bag (I fit 3 in my glove box for trips) but are tremendous enough to double up for warmth. I in addition found they are outstanding for covering myself when the baby is nursing and neither of us get too hot from a bulky blanket, like I did with his sisters. I highly commend and think they make a swell shower gift. I buy the 4 pack and give away 2 at a time, one to use and one can be in the wash. Slightly highpriced but so worth it (my original blanket is over 15mo old and still looks brand new)!
I love these blankets. They are thin and airy enough that I never worried when it comes to my son suffocating with them. If it is colder out, I just double them up.
The blankets are fabulous for spit up accidents. Most blankets are too small. Since these absorb so well and are more spectacular perfect for swaddling.
My son uses them as sleeping blankets and for security. The are also swell to cover up your stroller when your baby is sleeping. great for picnics and sun shades. Their size lets you be creative.
I just had my 3rd baby. My first, no way he would grant a swaddle and slept beautifully on his back. My second, was small and only liked swaddling from her waist down so you could swaddle her with regarding anything. My new, endearing bundle of joy perfectly refused to sleep on his back. Initially I gave in to letting him stomach sleep so I could at least get a nap for the duration of the day but really wanted to get him to sleep on his back. everybody said a good tight swaddle would get him to sleep on his back. I tried it and it worked, but, the second he got a small bigger, no blanket could incorporate this small Houdini.
I was on the verge of attempting one of the swaddling blankets like the Miracle Blanket but it was sooo expensive for just one blanket that functioned for just one thing. As I read reviews, I came throughout the Aden + Anais swaddle wraps which had 5 stars and thought, what the heck, I was going to spend that much for just one blanket.
The Aden + Anais muslin swaddle wraps are hands down, the BEST blankets and wholly worth the money. They are huge but at the same time, any excess you have seems to just fold away without being lumpy. They are soft, lightweight, can be effortlessly layered and man, they hold a swaddle like nothing else. As an added bonus, they come in a assortment of patterns- the jungle animals I think are the cutest.
If I had it to do all over again, I never would have bought the ludicrous flannel “swaddling” blankets that everyone gives you- they don’t hold a swaddle and are best utilized as burp cloths. I would have bought the Aden + Anais swaddle wraps from the start out and plan to buy a set as my “go to” baby gift for everyone from now on!
This is great blanket. It’s thin enough to swaddle a baby in summer. There are two sizes so be careful if you want the more prominent one. I wanted to order the larger one and when I obtained it, it was smaller. It still works but I like the more prominent one better. I think the bigger one is 47×47. Even altho this one is smaller, I’m still able to swaddle my 5 month old (soon to be 6 month) baby. Very recommended!
We absolutely LOVE these blankets. My daughter (19mths) has 4 and can’t sleep without them. I give these to each Mom-to-be that i know. They are so lightweight and soft.
I received Aden + Anais bibs as a shower gift and loved the design and fabric. So I searched for other products by this company and found the swaddle wraps. I was very reluctant to purchase these because they are a little pricey. However, it is the best baby item I’ve bought to date. They are so soft, light, and breathable. They are exceedingly versatile (use to swaddle, or as blanket, burp cloth, shade, nursing cover, etc) I don’t leave the house without one. And my baby loves them, too. I catch her rubbing the blanket amid her fingers or playing peek-a-boo with it (which she doesn’t do with any other blankets). I will unquestionably buy these in the future for family and friends who are expecting.
I bought these blankets for my newborn after seeing a friend have them. They are so unbelievably soft….and just what you would anticipate a baby blanket to feel like. They are very lightweight and extremely versatile. They swaddle the baby perfectly…even my 2 month old still fits swaddled in these blankets perfectly. I am wholly hooked…you will not be disappointed….they are expensive, but worth every single penny.
I don’t recognise if I can say any more good things when it comes to these swaddling blankets than what’s already been said. I love the patterns – the giraffe is by far the cutest! With every wash, these things become softer and softer; it’s amazing! They’re breathable, so I don’t have to worry with regards to my little one happily stuffing a wad of it in her face. They make swaddling a breeze! My husband had gotten applied to using a thicker style of blanket that was MUCH smaller in order to swaddle our baby. When I pulled one of the Aden + Anais blankets out, his first words to me were: “These are too huge to swaddle with!!” Ha! Now he won’t swaddle with anything else and our baby is far less likely to break out of her swaddle. In addition, these are the best “grab and go” blankets. They make a good cover for breastfeeding in a pinch and are perfect to assist keep the sun’s toxi rays off when we’re out for a walk.
I will more than likely end up buying more of these and I will gift these to any person expecting in the future!
